Pleated Blinds -adaptable shading

The pleated blind's potential to be shaped, coupled with it's distinctive appearance make it one of the most visually attractive blinds available, offering practicality, great looks and tremendous versatility over application and control.

In nature and appearnce, pleated blinds have a great similarity to a Venetian blind. However, the pleated fabric used in its manufacture creates a softer effect. A rigid aluminium headrail holds the operation gear and the blind is opened or closed by a pull cord, or in the case of roof blinds, a flexible rod can be used which raises or lowers the bottom rail, causing the blind to fold in a concertina effect.

Popular in conservatories, the pleated blind is equally suitable throughout the home, giving pleasure and individual looks in every room in which it is used.

Standard freehanging blind: is operated using a pull cord that is equipped with a cord lock to enable the blind to be raised or lowered and set in any position. The pull cord can be positioned on either the left or right side. To ensure your blind has equal pleats, a loop cord is available as an optional extra (we recommend blinds over 2600 mm in height are fitted with an equal pleat loop cord as the weight of fabric may distort the pleat).
Freehanging blind with cord guides: is the perfect solution for all vertical tilt and turn windows and an alternative option to standard freehanging blinds. There is no fixed bottom rail and operation is via a handle that is positioned on the floating bottom rail, (as an extra a operating rod can be purchased to easier operate high level blinds). The blind is held in position using cord guides fixed to the window sill using cord fasteners or wall bracket holders.

All Skylight blinds: have a fixed top and bottomrail with a floating mid rail attached to the fabric. They are worked by moving the mid rail up or down depending on the installation method. the rail will travel parallel to the head and bottom rails due to the 'figure of eight' cording method. Teflon coated steel wires (optional black or white) are used to ensure smooth operation of the blind and to minimise sagging, these can be tensioned on site. All roof blinds are manufactured using our loop cord to ensure the blind has equal pleats and retains shape.
