The Woodland range of timber Venetians and vertical blinds comes in a choice of colours and slat widths, they give a natural warmth to a room whilst providing privacy when closed and to some degree when open, and by tilting the slats, sunlight may be diffused so shielding and protecting furnishings from fading, making them an ideal choice for a conservatory or summer house.
The Woodland Venetian and Vertical blinds are manufactured from African Obeche wood (Triplochiton Scleroxylon) a timber widely distributed throughout tropical West Africa. The light and stable properties of this wood lend itself ideally to the manufacture of blinds. The timber is harvested under a policy of sustainable forestry, with the aim of 4 trees planted for every tree used in manufacture.
The Woodland Venetian
Supplied on either a 35 mm or 50 mm steel headrail system, depending on choice of slat width. Both headrail systems have been used for over 15 years in the manufacture of our metal Venetian blinds and have proven to be both strong and reliable, and will ensure years of trouble free operation. Control is by lift and tilt cords as standard, lift cords operate through an integrated cord lock mechanism on both headrail systems, enabling the blind to be raised or lowered to any height required. Tilting is via cords wound around a gear mechanism within the headrail, this is of all metal construction in the 50 mm system. Also offered is full tilt raise and lower control by either 240 volt or 24 volt electric motors.

The Woodland Vertical
The Woodland vertical blind operates from our standard aluminium vertical blind track, the wooden vanes are manufactured with steel top hangers routed into the top to give greatest strength, these in turn are hung from metal hook type carriers which provide secure and positive operation. The blind is drawn by pull cords and tilting is achieved by a tilt chain operating via a planetary gear box. Full electric operation is also available.

The Venetian range is available in either 25 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm and 70 mm slat widths, in a choice of 22 stock colours, all blinds come with matching wooden bottom bar and decorative pelmet, and with coordinating ladder braids and cords as standard, or for customer's individual tastes can be specified with contrasting ladder braids or ladder tapes and cords to compliment any interior. All pull cords are finished with wooden tassels stained to match blind colours. The Woodland vertical blind is available in 89 mm slat width, and offered in the same range of 22 colours, however these are ordered on request and may have a longer lead time. Vanes are supplied free flowing, without bottom chains.
In addition to real wood, we also offer Simwood in 50 mm venetian slat in 8 colour ways. Simulated wood formed from UV stable, flame retardant and impact resistant polycarbonates. The perfect solution for high traffic areas and easy to clean. The material is resistant to craking and fading and has efficient insulating properties, an excellent alternative to wood.
